We had such a wonderful experience at Steakloft! The food was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and so satisfying. What made the evening even more special was our waitress Faith. She was so kind and attentive, and I really appreciated how seriously she took my gluten-free needs. She double-checked everything with the kitchen and made me feel completely at ease, which is not always the case when dining out. Her thoughtful care, along with the delicious meal, made the night perfect. Highly recommend Steakloft for both the food and the outstanding service!

Great dinner and friendly service, although the menu was rather limited and the interior looked like it was still the 70s.

This is a wonderful place and I’m glad it’s still there. Great food, service and value. You can get a full meal with a great steak for $35 here. Super friendly staff, too.

To whom it may concern,I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional dining experience my family and I had today at the Steak Loft in Mystic, CT.Our waiter, Doug, truly made our visit memorable. He was not only funny and hardworking but also spoke highly of the Steak Loft and even shared some family recipes.We thoroughly enjoyed every dish, from the French onion soup and wedge salads to the amazing steaks and desserts. It was also wonderful to find a delicious gluten-free dessert option for my daughter. The prices, food, and service were all excellent.We will definitely be making the 50-mile drive back soon and will be sure to ask for Doug. Decent menu but dated dinning area. Big bar area. Around dinner time may be good to book a reservation. The mystic village is waking distance in same plaza, so you can ship and eat

Always a favorite with us. We love its rustic charm. We've never been disappointed with our steaks. Staff has always been friendly and accommodating.

Right in the harbor. I had the swordfish which was average. Others at my table had the sushi but it took really long to make. Most of were done or near done by time the sushi arrived.

Nice setting. You get to choose a formal setting in the main dining area or a more relaxed setting by the bar. Very generous servings. I couldn't finish my salad. Had the steak and crab cakes with the side being baked potato. I forgot to take a picture of the main course as I was eager to dive in.The meal was delicious and the waitress was excellent. I would definitely recommend it if you are visiting Groton

The happy hour menu is pricier with smaller portions. Not asking for a makeover but a little more light in there would be good in the bar area.

We had dinner for the first time at the recommendation of my parents. Everything was excellent other than the long wait for the dining room. This was only because they had a big party who rented out the bar area. The service and food far outweighed the wait. The salads were fresh - fresh leaf greens and crisp veggies with the best homemade blue cheese dressing. Excellent juicy burgers, and love the homemade potato chip style fries. They take the time to make ingredients from scratch and you can taste the difference. We will be back!

Did not expect much when we first walked into the place. It was so dark, not just in decorations but in lighting. The menu was interesting . I ordered a FISH BLT. IT WAS AMAZING!!! I had never heard of a fish BLT before but I was willing to try something new and I'm so glad I did . The waitress was kind and attentive and made sure we were enjoying our meal.

Steak loft is a staple of old Mystic. Most locals have celebrated at least one key event here. Most miss the once fantastic salad bar, but we keep coming back. There is plenty of parking and the place gets packed during summer weekends. Crowds are why the inside is worn. Good meals, fair price, and it's Mystic.

Love the atmosphere as usual. Excellent cheeseburgers. Home made potato chips are excellent as well. The steak sandwich was good but was a little light on the steak. For the price, $15, it was ok. Mixed drinks we excellent.

Everything about our experience was great! The waitress was very experienced and answered all our questions. The food was brought out fresh and hot. The taste of everything was spot on. I'd definitely recommend this place! Thank you Steak Loft!

Live music for dinner in the bar area. Service was a little slow due to the number of folks to wait on with a small staff. Food was good and hit the spot. Tried the skewers, we're done very well.

The New England Clam Chowder was fabulous! Thick and creamy, the flavor was great, the seafood was there but not overpowering the whole dish. The French Onion Soup was also 👌. Onions were nicely cooked, not too salty, very good and flavorful broth. We had seafood stuffed mushrooms that were good. And we had Fish and Chips. The fries were nicely done (seemed like the twice cooked method). The fish was also quite good, not too much nor too little coating, and the coating was nicely seasoned.

Loved our experience at Steak Loft. We had the best server, Sandra, who anticipated our needs, gave a great food suggestion (teriyaki steak - definitely try it!) and was so personable. Jasmine was also wonderful!

Great food and drink were very flavorful. Slow service to start but got much better once a waiter was assigned, very friendly and on top of things. Mushrooms were absolutely the best that we have ever had, I even ate them as a non mushroom eater. Twice baked potato was just okay.
