My husband and I went to Mystic for the day and we were looking for a nice cozy restaurant where we could have good food and some good drinks. There are a lot of up-and-coming restaurants in Mystic. But we chose the Steak Loft. We were not disappointed. Yes it is dimly lit but I really liked that. Drinks were great and the food was absolutely delicious. Off the charts. Everyone was very attentive And we had a great server. Unfortunately the place was a little empty but we would definitely go back there especially for their happy hour.

Great time, went out to lunch with my mom and the food was delicious and the service was perfect. Thank you Michelle. I had the steak medallions wrapped in bacon with shrimp. I got it with a delicious mushroom glaze. It looked so good I dug in before taking a photo to share. The bar area was interesting as it had an area with regular chairs and the other side had bar chairs. Several areas on sit which would be great if you have a group and want some privacy. They have a little stage which I'm guessing means they have live music/entertainment. I also like that they had a long benched seating so you can push tables together for bigger groups.

Great date night in a comfortable and relaxing space. Ribs, shrimp, salads & the most delicious blueberry bread pudding. And Doug took really good care of us...super friendly & professional guy!

We stopped in for lunch while shopping at the village due to menu options. The garden salad with cilantro lime dressing was fresh and filling. The bacon wrapped scallops were well made and flavorful. The nachos were miss due to dry chicken and sparse cheese. Our server Connie was attentive and friendly. The prices were reasonable. The building was kind of dark and a little dingy. It looks like it could be a nice atmosphere at night when there is a band playing.

We got take out and it was amazing! My husband said it was the best burger he’s had in a long time. And was cooked like a proper medium rare burger should be. Hand cut french fries were also amazing! I ordered the beef teriyaki steak skewers, and wow! Tender huge pieces of steak, and the teriyaki sauce is everything! Twice baked potato as my side. Yum yum yum! I’ve eaten here many times, but not in a long time, and it’s still amazing. This was my first time ordering from the Quick Bites menu and so glad we did. Top notch. Thank you

Food was amazing, the steak was perfectly tender and melted in your mouth. The fish tacos had a very good sized piece of cod and so much flavor with the salsa. The waitress was very kind and attentive. Overall great experience!

This place is absolutely stellar. The beef was amazing, and the ambience and atmosphere was open and relaxing. We arrived with a party of 4 and we're able to seat ourselves immediately, choosing whichever table we preferred. Portion sizes were just right and we didn't feel like we had leftover food that we couldn't finish even though we ordered 2 appetizers, a meal and 2 drinks each. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing lunch with friends or family at affordable prices.

Awesome place, especially if you're a meat lover.The steak is so tender it melts in your mouth and the burger is a hearty slab of meat on a tasty bun.All that plus great drinks and excellent service make this one of the best spots in CT.

This is an incredible location.Great food is one thing, but when I spent $20 on chicken wings and actually got over 17 wings, I knew this place was special.My new go-to location for the area.

Ive been all over the eastern half of the US from Chicago to Atlanta and up to Maine. This is my absolute favorite steak house. The ratio of quality to cost per pound is unparalleled. Every steak I've had here is cut perfect and cooked exactly how I asked.

Short version: This place is still awesome. Ignore the 3.9 stars and go there...even though they removed the salad bar.Longer version: I've been coming to Steak Loft for so many years, I don't even remember how I first learned of it. We recently planned on over-nighting in Mystic for my birthday

Haven't been her in probably 20 years…place never changes, sill the same 70’s steakhouse vibe. Food was good, better than expected actually. Waitstaff were great.However, the bill was a bit of a surprise (well, more than a bit). They chrarged for a seltzer water! Who does that?*Updated* Well, now I see some other restaurants charge as well. There must be tariffs on seltzer.

Went for lunch. Steak cooked correctly, food was pretty good. It was pricey but their menu is online so it wasn’t a surprise. It’s dark inside but feels perfectly appropriate for a steakhouse.

Went here for our 5 year anniversary. The food was great and so was our waitress. I would definitely recommend. We will be back again next time we take a trip to Mystic.

Been dying to try this place and I can say I will give them another try. We walked in about an hour til close; it was nice and quiet. We got to sit where we wanted and the waitress ( all 3 ) was very attentive. The food from my opinion was a 7/10. The salad was amazing but the steak could have a bit of flavor. The chicken sandwich was good not dry at all. I really appreciate how attentive the ladies were; keep up the great work!!!

Wow, it’s been awhile since we have been here. I ordered the soup of the day. It was a street corn chowder, the best ever. Then the meatballs so tender then fried outside delicious. My husband ordered the chili, loved it! He also, ordered the sliced garlic steak … perfection! We sat at the bar, great service such teamwork. Love the place, we will be back.

It was our first time at this restaurant, please please update your lighting!! Doesn't have to be bright, but it was even hard to read the menu during the day.We ordered fish and chips (amazing) and sirloin, salad, French onion soup, and mashed potatoes. My steak wasnt cooked too correct temp, and was a little bland, but was still decent. Possibly you should order it medium rare if you want it medium cuz it was overcooked.Everything else was good minus the fact that the server forgot my soup, i received it after my meal and the soup was comped.I will return to try the happy hour items.

This place will defiantly be on our list of spots we visit every year. Fresh delicious food and a great price. For the price you pay you get a lot of food. I got the fish and chips. For starters the fish was huge (our waitress said they buy the fish fresh every day). The breading was crispy and tasty. It also came with a cup of clam chowder. My wife got the steak and chicken and it looked and tasted great and the steak was cooked perfectly. Definitely would highly recommend it here!

Great food and wonderful staff. I love the bar here and the band was fantastic! It was Amy Winehouse’s birthday and I enjoyed the tribute song. My steak was amazing! Mashed potatoes are creamy and delicious. Great drink selection and great service.

Was excited to go here for a good steak, for $42 the steak was ok, O was expecting more, mash was amazing, my wife loved her food. As we were sitting and waiting for our food, the other server was bringing rolls to her table, I had to ask her for the rolls. The place is really dark and could not see the menue had to turn on my phone to see. No salad bar, pricy restaurant.

We had such a wonderful experience at Steakloft! The food was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and so satisfying. What made the evening even more special was our waitress Faith. She was so kind and attentive, and I really appreciated how seriously she took my gluten-free needs. She double-checked everything with the kitchen and made me feel completely at ease, which is not always the case when dining out. Her thoughtful care, along with the delicious meal, made the night perfect. Highly recommend Steakloft for both the food and the outstanding service!

To whom it may concern,I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional dining experience my family and I had today at the Steak Loft in Mystic, CT.Our waiter, Doug, truly made our visit memorable. He was not only funny and hardworking but also spoke highly of the Steak Loft and even shared some family recipes.We thoroughly enjoyed every dish, from the French onion soup and wedge salads to the amazing steaks and desserts. It was also wonderful to find a delicious gluten-free dessert option for my daughter. The prices, food, and service were all excellent.We will definitely be making the 50-mile drive back soon and will be sure to ask for Doug. Always a favorite with us. We love its rustic charm. We've never been disappointed with our steaks. Staff has always been friendly and accommodating.
